It was reported that the average molecular weight could be obtained by a combination of the intrinsic viscosity and the GPC data in case of lacking parameters K and α in Mark-Houwink’s equation

but few of articles discussed about the comparison and evaluation of those methods. In this paper

we used poly (tetradecy acrylate) as the sample and five methods of this kind combination to dispose the result for making the comparison and evaluation. It was found that Mahabadi’s method could give good result

and the α=0.74 method is a good approximate method.
