Abstract
Both infinite slab model and cylinder model with various sample thicknesses have been used to calculate the corrections of the neutron multiscattering by the Monte-Carlo procedure. The results show that
if the radius-to-thickness ratio of the sample is greater than 20
the infinite slab model with semi-analytical treatment is obviously advantageous for slow neutrons. Being combined with some other auxiliary techniques
this mothed has been applied to the correlation area analysis of neutron resonance for various experimental cross sections
