Abstract

A novel unique bisesquiterpenoid

biatractylolide (1)

together with two new sesquiterpenoids and other eight compounds was isolated from the Chinese traditional herb medicine Atractylodes marocephala Koidz

mp 210-212℃

molecular weight 462

formula C

C30H38 O4. The structure of (1) was elucidated by NMR

1H-1HCOSY

HMQC

HMBC and ROESY and so on

and confirmed by Xray analysis.
