As an example of the investigation of the coastal upwelling

the coastal upwelling on the Guangdong continental shelf is simulated numerically by using two layer finite element model. The nonconforming elements are adopted to remove the disturbance of noise and some method is introduced here for improving the conformability between the elements. The results obtained are approximate to the information from on the spot survey.
