摘要

报导水稻种子在萌发早期释放的挥发性醛量与种子的活力呈正相关，而在人工老化过程中释放的挥发性醛量与种子的活力呈负相关．水稻种子在萌发早期释放挥发性醛的高峰是在萌发的第二天；而在人工老化过程中释放挥发性醛的高峰是在第一天．低活力种子的脂质过氧化值较高．挥发性醛测定法是一种检测水稻种子活力的简易、快速和准确的方法

Abstract

The amount of volatile aldehydes (VAs) which was evolved by rice seeds was in direct proportion to seed vigour. The amount of VAs produced by high vigour rice seeds was more than that produced by low vigour rice seeds during early phase of germination. The peak period of VAs was evolved by natural ageing seed was in 24 to 48 h of seed inbibition. However

the amount and the peak period of VAs which was evolved by rice seeds which were in artifical ageing was in inverse proportion to seed vigour

and was in 0 to 24 h. The lipid peroxidevalue in rice seeds of low vigour was more than that of high vigour seeds.
