The photoimaging films domposed of chlorinated PVC (Cl-PVC) as the matrixand leuco crystal violet (LCV)
leuco malachite green (LMG)
dimethyl yellow(DMY)
pentamethoxy red (PMOR) and diphenylamine (DPA)
respectively
havebeen investigated by UV absorption as well as fluorescence emission spectroscopy. It has been found that Cl-PVC can both act as film forming polymer and activatorwhich may take part in the photoimaging process.By adding Michler’s ketone (MK) to the above films
different results wereobtained. No obvioue influence was observed for LCV and LMG films comparedwith non-MK-coataining one.MK acts as photosensitizer when it is added to DMYand PMOR films. However
MK is not only a photosensitizer but also a colorantwhen added to DPA film.
