Abstract
This paper reports three species of robber flies from South China
of which two are new records to China and one is a new species. The type specimens are deposited in the Research Institute of Entomology
Zhongshan University.Clephydroneura hainanensis sp. nov. (fig. 1)This new species is closed to Clephydroneura xanthopa (Wiedemann)
but differs in: (1) the aedeagus is divided into three branches at apex; (2) the shape of 5th posterior cell’s greyish area of wing is not triangular.Female unknown.Length of body (♂): 18mm; Length of wing (♂): 13mm.Holotype ♂
