The movement of Gaoyao-Huilai Fault in Tertiary Period results in that mountains lie in the north of this area and hills lie in the south. The Jilong Mountain lying in downfaulted block is a example that movement of inherited fault blocks is not apparent in Quanternary Period. It has been recognized by first layer caves that generating time of river terrace and the caves having same level may not be same. Fourth layer caves of same level as fourth step proluvia-alluvial terrace form at least in Early Pleistocene Epoch or before then. Xijiang riverbed has obviously superimposed since Middle Pleistocene Epoch at latest. Under the uplifting influence on Himalayan movement
Lingyang Canyon of Xijiang River and Han Canyon as well as Shuanjin Valley form one after another. The Lingyang Canyon is a prevailing river of the Xijiang River. Han Canyon and Shuanjin Valley are successively silted up in middle period of Late Pleistocene Epoch and Holocene Epoch.
