The graft copolymerization of molten isotatic polypropylene with maleimide(MI) was studied. The structure and morphology of PP-g-MI was studied by means of IR
WAXD
DSC and POM. It was found that with increasing the grafting degree
the crystalline temperature of the grafted PP increase
and its spherlote become smaller and imperfect. Compared with pure PP
the crystallinity of PP-g-MI change very little
but the crystallite sizes change a little. The grafted PP can easily crystallize in form of transcrytalline under shear condition.
