Study on the Complexes of Rare Earths with Pyridinioacetate and 2, 2’-Bipyridine
2’-bipyridine (bpy) have been synthesized and characterized as RE2 (bpy)5 (pyb)4 (ClO4)6·5H2O by elemental analysis and infrared spectra. The crystal structure analysis of Eu3+ complex show that the crystal is triclinic. The electrostatic characteristic of the bonds between RE3+ and ligand have been discussed using the f-f hypersensitive transition absorption spectra and fluorescent spectra.
