The magnetocaloric effects on binary gadolinium intermetallics have been ex-perimentally investigated by applying the sample with low magnetic field(~1T ) underadiadatic condition
It is shown that some binary gadolinium intermetallics
with bothexcellent magnetocaloric effects and a lower ferromagnetic-paramagnetic curie tempera-ture than 293 K
are suitable working substances of room temperature magnetic refrig-eration.
