The results of kinetics studies for the isomerization of Xylene isomers over ZSM-5 zeolites indicate that the activation energies and pre-exponential factors of the processes exhibit a compensation effect. The effect is interpreted essentially as a consequence of the compensation of the enthalpy and entropy each other in adsorption and activation.
